Miss Louisiana 2003 wears a regal gown in soft pink 100% silk imported shantung that has been gorgeously encrusted with hand-sewn scattered genuine Swarovski crystal aurora borealis finish rhinestone sequins.
Beadwork is heaviest at bodice, hips and hem and has also been coupled with scattered hand-sewn pink pearl beads.
Right hip has been lavishly accented with a “bouquet” of very, very unusual imported W. German vintage (1940) pink glass flowers each with a faceted aurora borealis rhinestone sequin at center. These beads have been hand-sewn onto gown and dangle freely.
Coming off this hip bouquet is hand-sewn fringe of alternating crystal bugle and seed beads, eight strands in all.
Halter style neck travels from right bodice to form a collar at neck. This strap has been smothered with these same hand-sewn vintage W. German florets.
A wrist cuff of gown’s same material also features hand sewn strands of alternating seed and bugle bead crystal.
