Expressly made for the 2012 Grant-A-Wish convention, NiniMomo’s charity auction entry pays absolute tribute to the “Great White Way”, Broadway, and all its glamour and entertainment.
As a result, NiniMomo has decided she is the quintessential representative for Miss Manhattan!
Miss Manhattan begins with a unique doll dressed in a strapless evening gown of 100% silk taffeta in white which features a dramatic train at back.
Following the Grant-A-Wish theme for 2012's convention of “Broadway Glamour”, what better way to pay homage to this famed avenue than to focus on what makes it larger than life, its musicals.
Gown has been covered in miniature Broadway playbills depicting over 3 dozen of the most popular musicals of past and present, all of which have graced the covers of the collectible playbill program books throughout the decades.
Once the silk taffeta was covered in these playbills, the gown was painstakingly covered from top to bottom in hand-sewn clear, lustrous, sparkling sequins sans seed beads, creating a lustrous metallic sheen on entire gown.
Accompanying the gown is a custom made 100% silk georgette shrug in Caribbean blue which has been delicately and decadently covered in tiny custom curled hand-sewn tufts of marabou and ostrich feather sprigs in both Caribbean blue and palest turquoise.
Trendy and very New York, short mesh black gloves complete with genuine black leather cuffs bedecked with a Swarovski crystal rhinestone stud complete the ensemble.
Our “Broadway Glamour” Diva carries a Judith Leiber inspired evening bag covered in sparkling pave style genuine Swarovski crystal rhinestones complete with a silver chain fringe and Swarovski bicones tassel base and  matching silver chain handle.
Dual hair bands adorn hair in genuine Swarovski crystal rhinestones matching the Leiber bag.
Silver spiral and pale turquoise rhinestone earrings make up her sparkling jewelry.
